This interview of Gladys "Ita" Carlo, Ecuadorian immigrant to the United States, was conducted with the assistance of a translator, the interviewee's grandson. Carlo details her experiences relocating to the United States following her husband's employment with the Federal Bureau of Investigation. She discusses the different jobs she held, as well as her opinions on politics.

This interview was conducted as part of an undergraduate final project for the University of Maryland, College Park course THET489V (Spring 2018). This course was led by Professor Esther Lee of the Theater Department, College of Arts and Humanities, and was sponsored by the Center for Global Migration Studies.
