Interview of Vivian Ojo
The interview conducted was of Vivian Ojo, a senior in 2014 at Georgetown University. Originally from Windhoek, Namibia, Vivian came to the United States to attend college. Vivian discusses her desire to pursue higher education, the ways in which her choice to attend college and immigrate to the United States were influenced by her parents, and the new opportunities that have opened up as a result of her move to America. Throughout the interview, Vivian talks about individual development, globalization, and the role that religion played (and continues to play) in her transnational identity. Stephanie Saldana (the interviewer) and Vivian worked together in 2014 as interns on the ONE Campaign, a non-profit organization that advocates to alleviate poverty and hunger in Africa. -
Interview of Keith Yearwood
This interview between Dr. Keith Yearwood and Zachary Wathen explores Keith's experiences migrating from Guyana to England, Antigua, and ultimately the United States. Keith shares his observations about politics, the benefits of travel, and his appreciation for his US citizenship.

Interview of Huaying Chen
This interview of Huaying Chen, a Chinese immigrant to the United States, details Huaying's early life in China following the Cultural Revolution. Huaying discusses Chinese politics, education, and the 1989 student movement and Tiananmen Massacre. She also discusses the culture shock she experienced when moving to the United States.

Interview of Zheng Gu
This interview between Wuyang Zhao and Zheng Gu explores Zheng Gu's experiences as an immigrant to the United States from China. Zheng Gu is a Chinese American; he arrived the United States as an international student to finish his Doctor's degree in 1993. He recounts his experiences of growing up in China, working hard to finish his master’s degree in China, and how he overcame lots of problems including the language barrier, culture differences, and changes of lifestyle after he arrived America. In America, he worked and studied, and he adopted American culture.

Interview of Adriana Busti-Carioti
This interview was conducted on Sunday, October 4th 2015 with Adriana Busti-Carioti a native of Spoleto, Italy. Born in 1946 and immigrated to the United States and settled in with family working as chefs at the Italian Embassy shortly after her 19th birthday. High unemployment in Spoleto and the whole Umbria region following World War II left many young people desperate for work. A short peak in employment hit Spoleto every year with their Spoleto Festival which features performances and exhibits attracting people from around the world. In the past fifty years of living in the United States Adriana has gotten her Cosmetology certification, she has raised 5 sons, and currently works part-time cutting hair at a retirement home or doing some her favorite actives like traveling, cooking, and spending time with her family. -
Interview of Keith Lobo
This interview is between Will Lobo and Keith Lobo. It explores Keith’s immigration from Pakistan to the US as a student and how he adapted to American culture. Will and Keith also discuss their family and how Keith’s immigration process affected the family.

Interview of Fucheng Li
This interview with Fucheng Li goes over his life experiences as an immigrant to the United States from Guangdong, China. Fucheng immigrated to the U.S. in 2012 at the age of 12, after his father immigrated to the U.S. 25 years prior due to a work opportunity. A major part of Fucheng’s life has been schooling, so he discusses the differences in education between China and the U.S. In addition, his past life in China allows him to comment on cultural and societal norms/practices surrounding his community in China. His experiences as an immigrant may be applicable to and even assist other immigrant children adapting to life in the United States, especially those who do not have a comprehensive grasp on English.

Interview of Adelin Franck Nguimfack
This interview of Adelin Franck Nguimfack, a Cameroon immigrant to the United States, explores his childhood in Cameroon and his immigration to the U.S. as a teenager. Adelin discusses differences in culture between the U.S. and Cameroon, the legacies of colonialism in Cameroon, religion, education, and cultural traditions.
